Virwsonic is no longer the cool monitor company but I still use them on many studio installs because of their workman like reliability. I have 1080p first gen panels which have burned 8000 hours and are now being transplanted to new studios.Of the last two one had its bezel separated, probably an error in packaging, and looked like it had hit the ground at some point - cement dust was found on the panel. Far from being a problem, it just showed that the panel - though largely plastic, could shrug off some rough handling. To repair it was a simple case of cracking the broken bezel, remounting the panel, blowing out the cement dust, and gently pressing the unit back together. Good as new.As marketed these units make great paired displays on VESA mounts. The monitor trees they ship with are the weak point in the design. But VESA mounting means their mounts will end up in storage. In an installation of forty monitors I buy four with trees, and then VESA them all, keeping the four trees in case I need to desk some of them.One caveat on VESA. Older arms will expect heavier monitors and will not like new generation panels. Have your metal shop fabricate a 100mm x 100mm or 75 x 75 metal plate drilled out for VESA and use longer screws. The added mass aids older mounts in carrying new monitors.We bought 2 of these and mounted on the dual mount ordered at the same time. These were perfect as we wanted to daisy chain them from a work laptop. It didn’t work out perfect at no fault of the monitors. The limitation was on the 5 year old laptop. The HDMI did not support the dual setup. However with one on HDMI and the other on VGA the next best outcome was achieved. I still give the monitors a five star review.Clean, Crisp Picture. The monitor is None glare, Responds fast and does a great overall job at everyday computing and games. It has many of the current connectors for video input and option to daisy chain to additional monitor on the Display port. Excellent monitor for eye care, Does have a slight ghosting effect with the blue-light filter on at 100% may also notice at lower settings but not as much. The montior is very adjustable and caters to a variety of settings for pan/tilt, Vertical viewing, Up/Down Vertical postioning, and swiveling monitor for easy viewing for others or Share viewing. Overall For the everyday user, Gamer and Office or Home Office user this monitor Performs excellent in all Scenarios, I personally use it for Web Browsing, Home Office, Small Business, Games, and light video editing for Youtube.Not even worth one star. The only thing I could do with this is get it to tell me "No signal". Hooked it up with HDMI, DP, DP mini and ...no signal. Four different laptops... no signal. User guide worthless - deleted it when it instructed me to insert a CD into a CD-ROM. Say what????Using for home office. Love it!Nice picture but it gave me a real bad headachePro: Like the daisy chain feature, no more cable from computer.Cons: can bring the monitor close to the table like 1 inch... min 3-4 inch and max 7-8 inch from table. I am a tall guy but prefer to look down to the monitor not up...Have Trouble when Using Duel Monitors Happens On All three computers But Other Than that Good To UseDoesn't come with a manual, so I had to figure out on my own that I'm supposed to manually download the drivers off their website. Then I tried daisychaining it to another monitor and Windows crashed and had to do system restore. Luckily I didn't lose anything important. Apparently you can only daisy chain these to other ViewSonic brand monitors and they must have the same exact refresh rate or else Windows will blow up. Would be nice if any of this was mentioned anywhere. Now I have to deal with the hassle of trying to return this piece of junk. Thanks for nothing.I needed a secondary 24 inch monitor that was VESA mountable and supported DisplayPort daisy-chaining - this fit the bill perfectly. Setting up the daisy-chain worked out of the box. The monitor also comes with a mini-DP to DP cable for my laptop, which is a nice bonus. Overall very happy with this purchase.Just to note, it does not come with a regular DisplayPort cable, so make sure to get one separately if you need it.I wish I had buy these instead of my Pavilion HP in the first place. Lots of different port to connect from and to! It has a displayport out for daisychaining. I cant wait to buy another one and try this feature with my macbook pro (mid-2012). Also, It comes with a mini-displayport to displayport and a usb cable alongside the power cord.
