Bought this unit to install on a customer's boat, and we are happy that we tested it prior to installing because it does not work as described. The on-screen menu system does not allow access to any screen controls other than brightness, and there is no access to the promised FM modulator which was one of the main reasons we purchased this unit. We tried 8 different .mp4 and .avi video files that work fine on other equipment, but this unit played back only one, the other 7 were claimed to be "invalid file format". If the files work on several other players, then it is the Rockville unit that is "invalid". Calling Rockville's contact number from their website gets you into a voicemail box. No call back as of yet.We are returning the unit. If Rockville contacts us back and can sort out the above issues before the unit leaves then I will come back and revise this review.Added 5/11/2016 - I did exchange a few emails with Rockville / Audiosavings.com technical support. I was asked to unpack the unit and verify that the onscreen menu items that I could not find before were indeed nonexistent. They were not there. While closely reading the manual I noticed that the one I had was carefully modified with small "N/A" labels carefully placed over some of the descriptions on the menu items table. This is when I knew for certain that it was not me being a dunce, it was that I had been shipped a unit that did not have the capabilities described on the websites and on the packaging (no FM modulator, no IR transmitter, etc.). I requested and received an RMA number and shipped the unit back. Rockville provided the shipping label at their cost. After they received the unit I was granted a refund less 10% due to the unit not being returned in original condition (I assume they meant the cheap manual that was dog-eared due to the multiple readings it experienced due to my time spent troubleshooting this unit). I replied with a mildly hostile email insisting on a full refund, which they did provide.In the end, this misadventure cost me no actual money, just an enormous amount of my time of which I have very little to spare. I was excited about this product and disappointed that what I received was nothing like what was being sold.Looks fabulous. Screen looks great however, the headphones only work with their system nothing outside of it. I have a DVD player in car and it won't play sound only their crappy usb games. So I need to keep the radio playing the DVD. I can't hear my own stuff up front whole driving.Honestly I'm a little upset. It "CLAIMS" that Mp4, avi, and every other video file works, that is incorrect. None of them work. Picture is very good I will admit. Installation was easy. Se me hace complicado enviar ya que los gastos de envío los hago yo enviando desde el pais de chile se me hace muy costoso gastar más dinero en enviar . En conclusión el producto es pésimo sus características técnicas son engañosa para el comprador . Este aparato no debería estar en el mercado del año 2018 está absoleto .No recomiendo que sigan comprando y engañando a los compradores.This was a good price. The correct input has to be selected every time it's turned on. The screen is really shiny making glare an issue.Great product that worked as expected. The only thing I didn't like was that it is just the screen and has no dvd player but that's known from the description. Overall easy installation and the kids love the preinstalled games! I recommend an in-dash DVD player for movie playback.It's cool, the built in video game feature is nice....... picture goes in and out if the road is rocky..... glare is tolerable in sunlightDo not try to install if you don't know what you are doing. Great picture. Its huge!!!!! If you are skilled enough to install this monitor you will not be disapointed.
