The wheels glide easily. The mat for your knees helps a lot so that my knees are padded and wont hurt while kneeling on the floor. I use this on a carpet floor. The band adds resistance and you definitely feel the difference when the resistance is added. This gives me a work out that I definitely feel later, well...I felt it after using it a bit and had to stop to let the burn ease up so I could continue. This is a great work out tool that can be put away in a small space and know one will ever know you even have this unless you tell them.This band is super good, I got 5 in a package.
