I bought this item to mount my monitor and keyboard in my office. Order arrived and we were excited to start the installation. Once we opened the box, there were metal parts and a bag/roll of very strange looking screws and plastic ties (see photo). We couldnt figure out what these plastic bands were used for, so we looked for the instruction in the box. I am pretty handy and I have installed many IT/electronic things myself, but trust me this one you can’t really figure out where thigs go without a manual...which was NOT in the box! So, I look on the box and call their customer service to see if they can send me one or help me with the installation. This is where things got even more interesting. Customer service lady answers the phone and I told her that I am not able to find the installation instructions and that the parts included are not self explanatory. She asked me the product number. I told her...she said she is “not familiar with this product!!!”. I told her that I bought this item from them through Amazon. It is not like I bought if from a third party...it is their own amazon account!!! She said, “if you bought it from amazon you need to send a request through amazon for the installation instructions”!!!! I said, ma’am there is no such place for me to do so on Amazon. Is there another department that can help me. She said no and she is not sure if they sell this product! I was so frustrated...I told her that this is your product, with their name and their packaging, sold through their amazon and listed on their website!!! Asked her how I can find instructions and why wasn’t one included in the box! She said, “We didn’t package it and you need to contact Amazon”!!!. I was really frustrated and told her that the box has their companys name and phone number thats how I called her...she said really? Ok. Then go online on our website and try to find the instructions there! I thought to myself: fine, I’ll download it online because clearly this lady was not providing any cusotmer sevice and actually take it out on me for buying their product through amazon...as if I bought a off brand! Instead of providing me with installation instructions she was trying to get me off the phone! So I spent about 10 min finding the instructions and started the installation...things only got worse.Instructions were horrible too. I was left guessing the steps between each part. The most important part which was anchoring the unit to the wall uses those stupid looking wall anchors that are supposed to be fastend to wall when you screw the backframe in...WRONG! You have to put GIANT holes on your wall (no extra big drill bits included either), and when you go in to screw long screws into these wall anchors they slide off drop into the wall and poof they are gone!!! Long story short, after 2 hours of messing with the stupid screws and anchors and having all anchors fall in the wall, I ended up going to Lowes and buying their biggest dry wall anchors and screws (because the holes you make for their stuid wall anchors are huge! And once they break or drop into the wall you are SOL) to install this thing. Absolute piece of junk. If I had not already had three giant holes (size of a penny) in my wall, I would have returned this junk and called it a day.I expected a much better service and product from an American company! How hard is it to put normal wall anchors and include a one page installation instructions with your product! Shame, shame, shame! The black furniture bolts that attach the frame to the anchors were not long enough. I had to purchase some 50mm long ones at my local hardware store. The pictures and description are accurate, but I will say that the monitor seems to stick out from the wall more than I would like. In hindsight I would have just got a wall mounted keyboard tray or shelf and a more flush monitor mount. It's a challenge because everything is so expensive in this category so this is a comparable good value.Does the job, but had a few issues that made installation difficult. Some soldering/welding was sloppy and we had to take measures to install the workstation properly. Otherwise, it's fine. This doesn't not accommodate installing on a cider block or plaster wall. Made for drywall applications.Worked wellI use these all the time. Very inexpensive compared to competitors. Very clean looking.
